1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.

When you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status but never your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To verify your license and provide access to the Chrome extension
• To process payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (password reset, welcome email)

3. Chrome Extension

The MakeMeFamous Chrome extension runs entirely in your browser. It does not collect, transmit, or store your X (Twitter) data on our servers. The only communication between the extension and our server is license verification (your API key).

Configuration is stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.

4. Third-Party Services

• Railway — Hosting. See Railway's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All communications use HTTPS. API keys are unique UUIDs generated server-side.
